Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, it is important that school staff are knowledgeable and have the appropriate skills and confidence to be in a position to identify concerns early, provide help for children and prevent concerns from escalating.
